About RYCYN

RYCYN is an independent gaming mouse design brand focused on rethinking shape, movement, and control.

Rethinking Movement.

A shape does not decide your grip. It decides an allocation: which movements are held and which are left free. RYCYN designs backwards from that allocation.

Movement first. Shape follows.

Separate the movements that need support from the movements that need freedom, then support only the first.

How decisions are made

Experimental in thinking. Rational in reasoning. Precise in execution.

Design intent, design decision, result — in that order. No effect is claimed without evidence.

Design, prototyping and testing are done by the designer alone; manufacturing, pricing, sales and shipping are made possible in collaboration with Nitro Factory-devices.

Where the name comes from

/ri·kin/coined word

RYCYN is a coined word, built from the personal handle RycqA and the idea of kinetics. The leading RY also carries rethink, redesign, redefine.

The product name is built from the same starting point: RYF-001 is the first fingertip mouse designed by RycqA.

RYCYN is an independent, one-person design brand. Its designer studies French literature at university and has taught themselves CAD, 3D design and gaming device development alongside it.

Modelling mice began in January 2024. There were earlier mice and related tools, but those were experiments built for personal use rather than products. RYF-001 is the first design taken all the way to production and sale.

RYF-001 was designed between April and early September 2026 — roughly five months. The form went through six generations, and around twenty physical prototypes were printed and tested across FDM mock-ups and SLS parts.
